Puerto Princesa,Feb.01-The Philippines has been chosen by the biggest travel operator in Eastern Europe, ESO Travel, as the exotic destination in Asia where Eastern Europe jet-setters could escape from their freezing winters and enjoy the sun, the sand and the sea.
ESO Travel will start its marketing promotion by staging the pre-pageant activities of the ten finalists of the Ms. Czech Republic in Pasay, Puerto Princesa, Cebu and Subic Bay Freeport Zone from January 24 to February 5. Its local partner is AAP Travel, a subsidiary of the Automobile Association of the Philippines.

Tourist arrivals in Palawan seen to hit 600,000

Puerto Princesa City, Oct. 15, 2012 – Malaki ang potensyal ng Taraw Cave na matatagpuan sa Brgy. San Rafael na maging isa sa mga pangunahing pook pasyalan sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa.
Ayon kay Kap. Gregorio Nalica ng San Rafael, malaki ang naiambag ng Taraw Cave sa nabuong kasaysayan ng lungsod dahil naging kublihan ito ng mga beterano sa pamumuno ng bayani ng lalawigan ng Palawan na si Dr. Higinio Mendoza Jr. na kasalukuyang gobernador noong panahon ng Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig.

PUERTO PRINCESA LAUNCHES PROGRAM AGAINST CHILD-SEX TOURISM

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, August 9 2012 (CIO) - Puerto Princesa City launched yesterday the Child Wise Tourism (CWT) program with the Department of Tourism (DOT) as a stand against child-sex tourism.

In a press conference after the launching ceremony, DOT Undersecretary Maria Victoria Jasmin said bringing CWT in the city is a preventive measure to stop child-sex tourism before it begins.

Puerto Princesa City - Isang mahigpit na pagsasanay sa Community Based Emergency and Disaster Assistance Response ang dinaranas ng 46 na partisipante mula sa iba’t ibang hanay ng mga boatmen na nagseserbisyo sa mga turista sa lungsod. Aabot sa pitong araw ang pagsasanay na dapat sana ay naka disenyo ng sampung araw. Ito ang dahilan kaya ang training ay nagsisimula ng alas singko ng umaga at nagtatapos ng ika siyam ng gabi.

Puerto Princesa City, July 20(CIO) - Ilulunsad sa lungsod sa buwan ng Agosto ang Child Wise Tourism(CWT) Programme ng Department of Tourism upang buksan ang kamalayan ng mamayan sa lungsod tungkol sa usaping child-sex tourism na kaakibat sa mabilis na pag-unlad ng isang tinuturing na tourist destination tulad ng Puerto Princesa.

Visitors arrival reached 1.5 million

Total of 1,497,851 visitors came to the country from January to April 2012, an increase of 14.61% over the previous year’s volume of 1,306,944 for the same period. The month of April recorded 349,779 visitors, an increase of 10.19% against its 317,443 arrivals for the same month a year ago.
