Message from the Vice Mayor
It is with distinct pleasure and pride for me to convey my warmest greetings and felicitations to the distinguished organizers, athletes, coaches and officials of the participating delegations to the 2010 MIMAROPA Regional Athletic Association Meet.
The City of Puerto Princesa is once again honored to host this regional sports competition after the success of the same event in 2008. The hosting of this year’s MIMAROPA RAA Meet is a manifestation of trust and confidence in the City’s capacity to host such big sports event that can boost the City’s bid to promote sports tourism.
This year’s theme “MIMAROPA RAA: Soaring to greater heights in quest of glory : achieving goals for man and country” calls every athletes to unleash their train and to continously produce highly competitive and well disciplined core of athletes ready to face the highest and toughest athletic competition in the future.
I exhort every athlete to perform at their best without losing sight of the value of fair play and sportmanship. For at the end of day, all of you can be potential teammates who will represent the region in the future in higher level of competitions.
Let me therefore welcome you to Puerto Princesa and wish you all gudluck. May you experience the warm and hospitality of our people during the duration of your stay.
